Julia Bancroft’s practice area is focused on family law, with a robust and dynamic background in child support and visitation enforcement, criminal prosecution and defense, and appellate litigation. Julia is especially passionate about child support and visitation issues in the Houston area, and is actively involved in helping clients, other attorneys, and the community to put Texas children first.
Julia has been licensed to practice law in California since 2000, and licensed in Texas since 2008. A graduate of the University of Nebraska (with a full academic scholarship), and J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in Utah, Julia has been happy to call Texas home for eight years. Julia has worked as a Deputy Attorney General for the California Department of Justice, an appellate attorney by special appointment for the Third and Fifth California District Courts of Appeal, and most recently before joining Sowell, Alvares & Walls, as a child support and visitation Legal Enforcement Attorney for the Harris County Domestic Relations Office in Houston.
If you have a child support or visitation issue, or other family law matter, Julia will take the time to help you through the court process, in a compassionate but forceful way, to do what is best for you and your children.
